It’s underground, it’s everywhere, it’s Moonshine.
You can hear it, see it, feel it, wear it, be a part of it, but it only happens when it happens. That’s the beautiful mystic of the Moonshine collective, the self-described post-border, multidisciplinary creative group pumping out parties, music, wearables and films squarely inspired by the Africa club culture but popping up in cities across the globe.
Once the underground darlings of the Montreal scene, the parties grew, the community begged for more, and the projects kept rolling in. From interesting invites to a lunar calendar leading the way, Moonshine has blown up to cast a spell on club scenes the world over with new parties across Europe and North America stretching across the rest of 2024.
Heavy on the drums, heavier on the attitude, and all about bringing a decidedly African sound into the most modern of contexts, Moonshine doesn’t shy away from anything, instead choosing a robust output of original music, clothing and events created by various collective members.
If the wave of the future is your thing, Moonshine just might be your favorite new outlet. Bob your head to their radio stations and music drops, wear the merch to show support and live the vibe, or simply go see what the kids are cooking up at moonshine.mu. See them, their films, and their merch @moonshine.mu on Instagram.
