In his esoteric sculptures, the Marseille-based artist Jean-Baptiste Janisset represents cherubs, flowers or stars. Inspired by religious and sacred places and bas-relief, these gigantic ex-voto cast into lead, steel or tin, become the characters of a fantastic world, questioning our systems of belief. For SCOPES Marseille he will present a personal interpretation of the chariot, a symbol that is central to his work.
